    Review: The Nameless

The Nameless The Nameless by Dawn Robertson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I think this was not only the shortest installment of this series (at least I read it quicker), but it was also the least plot driven. For those of us hoping and waiting for a happy ending, YAY! But at what cost? This story feels unfinished. There were many plot holes without any resolution. How can I classify this as an adequate conclusion to the story when there were so many loose ends? When I don't believe that this particular book kept itself true to the series? Where was the blood and guts? The revenge? I honestly failed to connect with this one. I had high expectations going into this and while I enjoyed it, I couldn't help but realize that something was off. The plot was more about Ellie's baby, Finley, than anything else. It felt like the authors knew what we wanted to happen, slapped it together like a bologna sandwich (just some dry bread with a couple of processed meat slices), and said VOILA! Hmm... Ellie's relationship with Linc wasn't given enough time to grow considering the depth of their feelings for each other and how complicated their lives were. Even the drama and business that they live in took a back seat in this book. I just didn't feel the intensity I was looking for. An outside force, once again, took drastic action against the team, yet there is no mention of retribution. None. Just suck it up buttercup and let's move on. Nothing was realistic and I was left confused. Is this really it?
